Where is happiness?

Where exactly is happiness situated on this beautiful planet Earth? Is it located in a particular city or a state or a country? Is it limited to places or it can be found everywhere? I know these questions might sound silly, childish and ill-logical to you all. But trust me, when we get busy in our lives, all burdened with work/ studies and responsibilities added on our shoulder, we often lead to thinking where exactly is happiness.

We work so hard in our lives for our own reasons, but in the process do you also feel unhappy sometimes, like where you fall in one of those pits of thinking that even after working so hard and achieving my goal why am I not happy? If you also think so on the same lines, let me tell you, my friend, you aren’t sailing alone in the boat of these thoughts.

Why do we fall in those pits when we love doing what we do? I feel the reason for us falling in this thought is that we can achieve our goals by our hard work and efforts, but happiness is a state of mind. When I say happiness is a state of mind, it sounds a bit cliché and a statement which you must have heard from so many people, I used to think its just an exaggerated statement, but I realised it’s not, it’s a true statement. Sometimes, we understand some sentences with time. As we grow, we understand the meaning of a particular sentence. Or rather is it right to say that time not only makes us understand these statements, but also value them and their importance and influence in our day to day lives.

So, time taught me the meaning and impact of this particular statement. What about you? Let me know your thoughts, view and opinions on this blog in the comments section below.

Congratulations!!!You made it till the end of the blog. Here’s your reward :A quote by Audrey Hepburn says,

“The most important thing is to enjoy your life – to be happy. It’s all that matters.”

  1. Lol! Totally agree that happiness is a state of mind! But how to get from here to there if here involves being a person damaged by life’s traumas? I wrote an entire book on that! No, really! 😊😊

Hint: it’s going to take some (or a lot of) inner work!
